Family, Leather, and Ranching

Established 1984

33 Ranch & Saddlery is the life's work of Doug Kuschel and Jennifer Kuschel, a father and daughter leatherwork team.

Doug Kuschel

Doug started 33 Ranch & Saddlery over 40 years ago as a sideline to full-time ranching. His first education came from repairing saddles used on the ranch, and by trial and error, learned to build better saddles than he was riding. Many years and many saddles later Doug still maintains the saddlery as a full service shop with not only custom saddles, but repair service and handmade strap goods.

Doug still ranches with his son and wife of 50 years, Paula. Together they enjoy traveling and teaching cowboy traditions to the grandkids.

Jennifer Kuschel of 33 Ranch & Saddlery

Jennifer Kuschel

Jennifer joined Doug after high school and now has 30 years of leather experience. Jennifer loves the artistic side to custom leather including floral tooling and painting. Jennifer is also the chap maker and has recently added uniquely created handbags to the shops product lineup.

In her free time, Jennifer loves gardening and collecting house plants.
